Omniscope Features
Import, visualise, analyse, manage, present and publish your data
Omniscope combines the features of local databases, spreadsheets, presentation packages, web browser-based reporting and portable document formats in a single easy-to-use application.
Import, enrich and save data
Import tabular data, then merge, join, visualise, analyse and share or publish reports and presentations as compact, highly-visual, interactive Omniscope files. Much more than a simple Excel Viewer, Omniscope files open as full presentations, as they were last saved, with multiple tabs containing any combination of 14 different views. Files can include online/offline maps, images and links to related content located on your network and/or the web. The navigable data is all contained in the highly compressed Omniscope file, so all views update automatically as users search and filter the data interactively. No special knowledge or commands needed, just a mouse.
Visualise, analyse and define formulae and alerts
Omniscope's 14 different views allow you and others to make sense of the data, no matter how many rows there are. Specify calculated formula columns and define assumption variables that users can vary in real time, just by moving a slider. As users filter the data and change the assumptions, all charts and displays (including related web displays if online) will update automatically.
Configure report tabs and distribute
More presentable than spreadsheets, more visual and much easier to use than database files, anyone can open and navigate interactive, filterable, .IOK files using the free Viewer. Files are small enough to be e-mailed. Depending on your edition, you can import data from spreadsheets and databases, refresh on demand, and configure interactive, multi-view tabbed Report Pages that look (and print) just like presentations. You can even mix existing PowerPoint slides into Omniscope interactive graphical presentations.
Export and re-purpose/re-use data
Omniscope will export selected data for re-use in spreadsheets. It will post user input and selected subsets of the data back to a configured web service, with the response appearing in one or more integral web browser windows. Selected subsets of the data can also be exported as universally-accessible, dynamic Flash DataPlayers inserted in common documents (PowerPoint, Excel, .PDF) and web pages with full interactivity. More on DataPlayers.
